WHO CAN ATTEND?
Middle and high school students in grades 6-12 WHO IS ORGANIZING THIS? a planning team of students, adult volunteers, and church staff from the Chinese Bible Church of Maryland (CBCM) WHO'S IN CHARGE? Dorothy Lau, Youth Director (CBCM) WHERE WILL THIS BE? Skycroft Conference Center 9621 Frostown Rd, Middletown, MD 21769 WHO'S THE SPEAKER? Dan Boal, Pastor of Discipleship (Grace Church Lititz) WHAT'S THERE TO DO? Aside from organized large group sessions and small group discussion, Skycroft Conference Center has a gym, lounges, coffee shop, and a few outdoor activities. Check it out here! THE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS? Students will be grouped into multiple, single-sex lodges with respective, adult supervision. Health & SafetyWHAT ABOUT COVID-19 VACCINATIONS?
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended, though not required for participation ANY OTHER HEALTH PRECAUTIONS IN-PLACE? All attendees must provide proof of a COVID-negative test result within 72 hours (3 days) of arrival. Send a time-stamped record or photo of a negative-result COVID test to the Winter Retreat Planning Team at tgcbcm@gmail.com, starting as early as 4 PM of Tuesday, 1/24 to Friday, 1/27. This evidence (photo, physical, etc.) may be provided at check-in, too. While the wearing of face masks is recommended when in crowded indoor spaces, it is otherwise optional. IF ONE EXHIBITS SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS @ RETREAT... he/she is to immediately inform a counselor or Dir. Dorothy. The student will be administered a COVID-19 rapid test and potentially be subject to relocated, isolated lodging or be picked-up from retreat. WHAT IF I HAVE MEDICATIONS? All participants should bring whatever medications they may need, including EpiPens. Ensure they are accessible and within reach. (I.e., store those in a backpack or equivalent rather than packing in a luggage/duffel.) |

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED? 1. Credit Card (in the Eventbrite form) 2. Check (offline) o To: CBCM o Memo: Youth Retreat - [Student's Name] **Due to Skycroft's updated policies, as well as the financial responsibilities incurred for our reservation, participants are to submit at least 50% of their registration fee before the deadline of their respective pricing tier. If one registers under the 'early' tier, submit a $65 deposit--or pay in-full--by 12/31. If one registers under the 'regular' tier, submit a $70 deposit--or pay in-full--by 1/25. WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION? A participant can do that his-/herself via the Eventbrite registration confirmation email. Alternatively, request a cancellation/refund by contacting tgcbcm@gmail.com. The cancellation deadline for a full refund is Wednesday, 1/25 by 11:59 PM. Participants are to coordinate their own rides to/from Skycroft Conference Center. Indicate if you need ride-coordinating assistance in your registration form. NOTES ABOUT ATTIRE
Should be undistracting, suitable, and appropriate for group activities, worshiping God, and to not impede others' ability to worship. Clothing is subject to staff approval; students should use discerning judgment but may be asked to change if needed. |
