ABOUT TG
What is 'Teens Group'? At the Chinese Bible Church of Maryland (CBCM), the Teens Group (TG) is the youth ministry body, comprised of middle and high school students.
What happens at TG? Lots! Students are with those of similar age while being in a setting where they can explore and grow in understanding and applying the Christian faith. Along with biblical teaching, TG provides a space for teens to interact, engage in group discussions (i.e. led by adult volunteer youth staff), and serve in capacities within the youth ministry and CBCM at large.
How often and when does TG meet? Consistently, nearly every weekend between the months of September to June. Large group is on Friday nights @ 8 PM in CBCM's Fellowship Hall (gym). Sunday mornings consist of a grade-clustered (MS, HS), Bible book studies which begin @ 9:45 AM. Note: The first Sunday of the month is a dedicated fellowship day ("Sunday Fun Day"). After Sunday school, students are highly encouraged to attend the English worship service. (See additional service times.)
Who is in charge of the youth ministry? Youth Director Dorothy, with invaluable contributions from nine volunteers who make-up the counseling staff--ranging from younger working-professionals to empty nesters--and twelve student leaders ("officers").
